Accurate Speed Measurement

To ensure precise measurements, Ball Speed Free requires your phone to be relatively stationary during recording. Camera calibration is crucial: align red lines on your screen with the feet and head of a person recorded in the frame, and input their height to set real-world distance. This calibration lets the app accurately translate pixel distances on the screen into meaningful speed readings. The free version allows speed measurements up to 75 MPH, with higher speeds accessible through a pro version upgrade.
